Ducky reload

New Ducky image. Its an inbetween of 2 earlier paintings. Simple one i wanted to add for a while. You can see where it fits in on the Lost Ducky blog.

Setup

Heres a picture of my apt work space. Small desk. 10 year old wacom intuos 1 first generation ( Thanks wacom for good product.) Dell computer 4 gigs of ram 3 ghz dual core. Mac Keyboard and 25.5 inch samsung screen. 40 inch sansung lcd tv standing on a chair and a ps3 underneath for blurays. A canon scanner i rarely use.

Screen Shot of my photoshop setup. This is photoshop cs4, its pretty much like cs3 except for the adjustment panels on the left side and a few different icon positions on the top menu. This is what i find is a comfortable setup for me. My layers, tool presets, brushes and paths are all in the same box just different tabs. Easy for me to access and go intbetween tools. I keep the adjustment tab above that since i use Ajustment layers quite often. Top colour tab is setup to HSB colours. TO me thats the only logical way to paint in photoshop. I always thought picking colours by clicking the foreground colour box was wasted time and also not accurate.

The painting you see there is an early work in progress for a personla project.

As for tools i use in photoshop. I use the Paintbrush, Eraser, Pen tools ( mostly the freeform pentool) , The gradient tool in combination with the quickmask tool, Ajustment layers, Clipping Mask layers and sometimes the smudge tool. I might do a tutorial on several photoshop tools such as the Pen tool , clipping masks, custom brushes ect. Introduction to the basics.
